GDPR - How To Discuss

GDPR

Europe

AVG, often referred to by its abbreviation, stands for the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union. It went into effect on May 25, 2018. We've created a wealth of regulatory information, including podcasts, blog posts, eBooks and webinars, in our AVG Resource Center.

GDPR, short for General Data Protection Regulation, is a law of the European Union that regulates the collection, use and storage of digital data. It entered into force in May 2018. The GDPR aims to protect the privacy of personal data and requires EU companies to clearly explain how personal data is collected and used. For example, EU citizens can object to the use of their data for direct marketing purposes.

New privacy laws coming into effect in 2018 will govern how companies store, share, obtain and manage customer data. This means that when you collect user data, you directly request permission for certain actions.

It refers to the laws of the General Data Protection Regulation passed in 2018 to better protect people's personal information.
